Friday, we had a squadron BBQ at the playground on base. They also had a big bouncy castle and a jousting pit set up. Unfortunately, it rained - and it never rains here, but that didn't slow the kids down one bit. Andy was a little hesitant at first, but it didn't take him too long to warm up to the raindrops on his face. By the end of the night, he was soaked and a little chilly. I guess that didn't really help out much with his cold, but he was having too much fun to drag him away. Actually, I would have had no hope in doing that...my adventurous little guy was all over the place! These outings are getting tougher to do solo, an extra set of hands and eyes from Craig would be a huge help. Andy is a quick little thing and it's hard keeping up with him sometimes!
The jousting pit just ended up being a splash pool for the kids to play in.
