A Castle With Not So Much Bounce

Yesterday, we had a get together with friends to celebrate Andy's birthday. We had decided to get a bouncy castle (since there were going to be 13 kids running around) and just do some BBQ. Well, by the time everyone arrived, poor Craig was drenched in sweat from duck taping up all the million holes in the bouncy castle trying to get it to fully inflate. This sucker was enormous and even though half of it didn't hold any air and your feet were pretty much sinking to the ground when you walked on it, the kids didn't seem to care a bit. No worries, we will be getting a FULL refund!

I didn't get many pictures of kids on the un-bouncy castle because they were doing such a great job of entertaining themselves that the adults were actually able to sit and enjoy dinner and conversation with no interruption.

I made a Max cake for Andy and cupcakes for the kids.

Craig trying to get Andy to dig into the cake.
Andy, not really into it and wanting his hands wiped clean.
He did finally eat a little bit of the cake, but with a fork -- no mess!

Chillin' out with the girls.
Andy workin' it, getting sweet hugs from the girls.

Slowly beginning to fade.
Tired boy!
Group picture before everyone headed home (minus 5 kids)

It turned out to be a fun time and even the flies came out to join us. (killed 32 in the house this morning--so gross!)

That cake was absolutely perfect, Jamie! Looks like everyone had fun and I'm glad the BBQ sauce was a success, too. :)

That's a bummer about the castle, but at least you get to try out another one some time.

Happy Early Birthday, Andy! Can't wait to see y'all soon!!

Awesome cake, Jamie! That stinks that the castle was all deflated, but I'm glad the kiddos had fun anyway. Wish we could have been there!
